Interesting article in Educause Quarterly from the Academic Innovation Team at Sheffield Hallam University.

Hi Cathy

I recently hosted a meeting of eMentors (students that teach the teachers how to use technology appropriately) at Hopwood Hall College near Manchester - and the students are very keen to support teachers in the use of twitter. So much so that they are prepared to come into college during the summer holidays to prepare for (and subsequently deliver) a staff development session for staff in the college. While this may be beyond the call of duty for students it really emphasises the passion of students to lead the culture change in such technologies. Personally i am really keen to see the outcomes of the session they will deliver - and how it is received by staff.

I like the sound of eMentors - what a great idea. Is this a local initiative? Are other colleges doing it?
